Buying Compost
Compost quantities are limited

The limited volume of this fine soil amendment can be purchased as follows:
- $5 per carload and $20 per pickup OR small trailer load.
- Cars, pick up trucks/small trailers, loaded by customer, on a first come, first serve basis.
- All vehicles and trailers are to be self loaded (bring your own shovel & containers). Vehicle and trailer operators are fully responsible for the maintenance and safe operation of their vehicles and trailers, including compliance with the allowable carrying capacity.
- Commercial dump trucks may be loaded by County staff on a prearranged basis.

- Buying compost
Brush chips are available to purchase at many of the County of Simcoe waste management facilities.
Produced from grinding brush, the brush chips are used by local landscapers and home owners. Similar to finished compost, brush chips can be purchased as follows:
- Cars, pick up trucks/small trailers, loaded by customer, on a first come, first serve basis.
- $1 per yard or tonne
- Commercial dump trucks may be loaded by County staff on a prearranged basis.

While loading and transporting the compost or brush chips into your vehicle, you are ultimately responsible for the safe running of your vehicle with or without a load of compost or brush chips on-board. Contact the County of Simcoe's Customer Service Department to confirm availability of compost and brush chips.
