| The Environmental Services Division is responsible for waste management services, including curbside collection. The County of Simcoe oversees the collection of waste and recycling for its 16 member municipalities, which can be categorized as follows: | |

The County of Simcoe is responsible for 4 active landfill sites and 4 transfer stations in addition to managing numerous closed landfill sites.

The County of Simcoe developed a Solid Waste Management Strategy, which provides short and long term disposal options and makes further improvements to the County's waste diversion programs. The recommendations set out by the Strategy have been approved by County Council.
