The release of hazardous wastes into the environment is a growing environmental and social concern. With over 50,000 types of chemicals in commercial use in Canada, consumers play a critical role. We purchase chemically based household products and create a problem with them by disposing of the wastes from these products in inappropriate ways.

THEREFORE, DO NOT DISPOSE OF HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTES BY:
  • Putting them down the drain
  • Putting them out with the garbage
  • Burying them in your yard
  • Burning them in your wood stove
